This is my first-ever attempt at a blog. My name is Joe and I am the owner of the Lone Ranger Fan Club (www.lonerangerfanclub.com). I am interested in hearing who people would like to see cast as the new Lone Ranger and Tonto in the upcoming movie by Columbia Pictures.

Just about anyone can put on a mask and guns and say their lines convincingly, but how is Hollywood going to come up with someone who believes and follows the Lone Ranger's Creed like Clayton Moore did? I didn't see the last Lone Ranger movie, and I may not see the next.
Although I would like to see a Native American play Tonto, I also think Benjamin Bratt would do the role justice.
As for the Lone Ranger, I think he should be played by someone who lives as upstanding a life as Clayton Moore. There's only one actor I can think of who does that : Jim Caviezel.
I checked Caviezel & Bratt's heights on the Internet Movie Database. They're both 6'2". The same height that Fran Striker says the Ranger is in the novel ' The Lone Ranger and the Mystery Ranch '.
I also think Tommy Lee Jones is perfect for Butch Cavendish.
